hey guys. i recently fitted a brand new pair of these in my 98 corolla. have a good solid backboard and good 100rms x 2 amp.
i bought them thinking being 10 inch speakers will give good bass and i wont need a sub anymore and will have more boot space.
they cost R950 i i'm really disappointed with the bass they give as i've heard 6x9's give better bass.
has anybody else have these in their car and how do they sound???

all depends on what amp u have? whats the wattage of the limpids? RMS? make sure the Limpids are NOT touching any metal on the back panel else that will cause the speaker to not sound nice..... the sub will be limited. theres alot of things that can cause that in actual fact :)

the new limpids are absolute rubbish. 100rms is more than adequate power to drive those speakers. If you are looking for low frequency response from them then they will never replace the response you will get from a sub. The older range of limpids made in the 90's would have given you solid and low bass but not the new range. I suggest you sell them, get a set of 6" coxials and a 10" sub. If you are in durban you can have a listen to our citroen C2 fitted with a 10" RF P3 and a set of MB Quart splits upfront all run off a RF P450.4. You don't have to go with those brands but for something close to that you will have endless audio enjoyment and its compact with no weight issues.

Why must go rolling...?? People who like rolling cant launch their cars..

Plus racing is always decided on the 1/4 mile...
