Good day guys
I have a Toyota yaris 1.3 2009 model have it since 132000kms
according to service history online it seems it only skipped 1 service interval.
1) Do you guys think that if i skip 1 it will affect resale value as the books and manuals are gone before i bought the car ?
service 180000kms. or do you recommend i do it at the dealer and keep service history ?
So if i choose to do the service myself these are the Q's
1) Is the Toyota spark plugs the same as 1ns from spare shop? coz i see it take 2or3 services before Toyota change these.
2) Can i use say Castrol or shell 15w40 which is recommended? or must i buy Toyota oil? which will be more expensive.
3) Why is Toyota air-filter so expensive? can i use a spare shops good air-filter etc?
What do you guys recommend here?
I am satisfied with Toyota especially the diagnosis of replacement parts as part of the service experience. You know Check list etc .
I just feel that at this millage it might not be so beneficial especially as dealer workshop service is expensive.
Do you normally opt for a DIY or other cheaper workshop service compared to Toyota dealer service after a certain KM's?
Thanks guys
Cheers
