What's happening Sout,
Still waiting, exhaust has been done(76mm). It went for dyno & the darn fuel pump wasn't supply enough fuel. So it's getting new bearing kit for the turbo, MSD - 6AL for the spark & new fuel pump !
Maybe before I turn 30 I should have it back !
Is the crankshaft in yet ?

Yo.
Cranck is in, they are busy assembling my motor today, should be able to start up by tommorrow, might get it back by friday.
I then have to do a 1000km before it goes back for the dyno.
Will then put the boost up to 0.8bar.
So you not happy with the corrolla!
Did you at least hear your car with the 76mm pipe.
4AGZE sounds nice with one on!

I am honestly sorry to hear about the AFE my man!
When I picked my car up she had been sitting for over two weeks so I drove her like an old man for about 500km... then I did an oil change and a remap on my chip... my accelerator pedal then got firmly pressed against the carpet on a regular basis....
What I can conclude is that the more mileage you put onto the car the better she seems to run! I have about 2000km on the conversion now and she is pulling beautifully! I am pushing out 162Nm on the front wheels and am loving every tyre screeching second!
Have you checked your compression ratio? Does your car use oil?
Maybe drive it in for about 1000km, do an oil change and get Dave to set it up again... then whip the *** out of it...

Hey there Monark,
Whilst the car was there, I did the cam-belt, oil change & oil filter. More or less what speed do you pick up in 3rd gear ? Just so I know if mine is more or less rite ?

Did get to hear it & go for a drive in it. @ 0.4 bar it's doing 180hp atw. Going to set it up with a high/low boost switch. 0.4 for everyday & 1.5 for hooligan driving !

I have just checked for you...
1st gear: 60
2nd gear: 100
3rd gear: 140
4th gear: 185
The car also pulls very cleanly through the entire rev range and does not stop/slow when reaching upper rpm.... it just flies....
Change your tall green, lean burn injectors to our "old school AFE" fat yellow ones and she will get all of the fuel that you need... a cheap conversion which will really make your car hop...

@ Monark,
I tried that on Sunday. Once I put those yellow injectors in, the car wouldn't start. It would swing but wouldn't turn over. Put the standard grey one's in a it start's one shot !
I spoke to a bud of mine, he mentioned something about high & low impedance(forgive spelling) injectors. Do you have a flat bed filter or cone ? What size exhaust you running. My car in 3rd gear get's to 150 but screams @ higher revs.

hey there boet....how many km's have u put on since the conversion???when do u change gears when racing(at what rpm)???
if u put on about 1000k's or just over...get it dyno tuned(spk 2 dave bout it cos i know he remaps ur ecu box so not sure if it will be affected)...then once its tuned ride it around for a day and the next day take on a car that whipped u or that should theoretically whip (e.g a twincam maybe)....if u in front then u know there were gains....if not...somthings up...also compare ur power figures to monark....  just my opinion
(try chipping the car like monark).pity u 2 cant go head 2 head

Hi...You guys up in JHB that have done the done Dave Repsold conversion...does any of you have a quarter mile time pre and after the conversion...would be a good to gauge the results.....cheers....
